Judges order FAA to review airplane seat sizes

Interesting figures: Between 2000 and 2005, the average width of airplane seats has declined from 18.5 to 17 inches. Seats pitches have shrunk from 35 to 31 inches. By comparison, economy class rows on Delta and United are spaced between 30 and 31 inches, while JetBlue, Southwest and Alaska have between 31 and 33 inches.
